Purplerecently, Purplere partnered with an Utah charity to provide mattresses for the many families and individuals who have no place to rest.
To save fuel and money, we donate all mattress returns to local charities.
The Purchase Process
Purple, like many new mattresses in the last few years is sold online.
Purple is also availableAffirm financingSpread your payments as you wish. If you are eligible, they offer 0% APR for as long as 6 months.
There is one standard level of comfort. Purple refers to it as the perfect mix of firm + soft, and not a compromise such as medium-firm.
Purple currently offers only 4 sizes. Most other brands offer 6.
According to the company, this is because they are still at an early stage of growth and may be able to offer more sizes in the future.
There are several sizes available: Twin, Twin XL and Full. Queen, King, Cali King, and Twin XL are all options.
Price
Purple Mattress and other mattress in-a-box companies have an alternative approach. They connect directly with their customers, eliminating most middlemen costs.
With its innovative design and price tag, the Purple Mattress would have been easily priced at -5,000, before online shopping made it more competitive.

Delivery and shipping are freeWithin the 48 US states. Call for a quote to ship to AK and HI.
Shipping
Shipping is currently only available within the United States.
The company was only launched a few months ago, so delivery time is not yet certain. The company is having trouble keeping up with high demand.
Shipping is free to 48 states within the contiguousUS. It takes between 1 and 4 week depending on the size of the mattress.
Cal King is the exception.
Delivery may take up to 6 weeks if you order the California King.
Additional shipping fees will apply to Alaskan and Hawaii residents. These charges are calculated at checkout.
Shipping to countries other than the United States is currently not available. However, you can sign up on their website to be notified when shipping becomes available.
To track your order and help you prepare for it’s arrival, you will receive a tracking number once you have placed an order.
You will not be able to set up your mattress or remove the old one.
Delivery
EveryPurple mattresses are compressed and rolled inside a tight vinyl tube. Ready for delivery right to your door
Thismattress is very heavy (64kg for a King), so a nosetup service or white glove delivery may be necessary.
Setup And Unboxing
The Purple Mattress arrives at your door compressed in a purple vinyl tube and two handles.
After you’ve gotten this heavy mattress in your bedroom, you’ll need to use the razor tool to cut the tube. Then, unroll it to let it settle (takes approximately an hour).
Purple suggests that the mattress be placed on a solid flat surface, such as a floor or on a platform. On their website, they sell a platform.
Purpleadvises you to place plywood sheets between the boxspring and mattress if you have one.
We decided to place the shippingtube on top our platform because of its weight. Then, we cut the box and let the mattress unfold and decompress.
Styling/Aesthetics
The classic white, plain cover on the mattress is used.
Although there aren’t many things that make this mattress unique, it is quite different from other mattresses.
The sides feature raised Purple logos and diamond patterns. This creates a modern, but simple look.
Personally, I don’t mind the style. But if you do, it will be covered most of the time with bedding.
Don’t let this stop you from getting the most out of this mattress.

Cover
Mattresses are only as comfortable as their covers.
Purple Mattress’s cover is crucial to the mattress’s ability to perform its task.
First, Purple’s fabric is very soft and stretchy.
The cover is made of a mix of viscose (27%), polyester (6%) and polyester-lycra (4%)
This combination gives it aUniquely soft and stretchy textureThis is necessary to allow the elastomer layer polymer top layer to do its job. It is also extremely breathable.
The cover can be removed, but they don’t recommend washing it in a washer unless absolutely necessary. Spot cleaning is more effective. It can be washed in cold water. Dry it on a flat surface or hang it to dry. If you wash the cover in an improper way, the materials will shrink.

The company also recommends that youUse stretchy top sheets. They also work well with the hyper-elastic polymer top of the mattress. You may not be able to get the full benefits of the mattress’ pressure relief.

Top Comfort Layer: Hyper Elastic Polymer (5 Cm).
This innovative part of the mattress is the result of decades of research and years of experience. The polymer’s unique cell structure is what makes it special, as we have already mentioned.
The top layer focuses on two important things: comfort, and pressure relief.
It is cool and distributes your weight evenly to avoid any uncomfortable pressure points.
The open-celled top layer adjusts to your weight and the various parts of your body when you lie down on a Purplemattress.
For example, if you lie on your back, your hips will exert more pressure than your legs on the mattress. The mattress’s open-cell structure of hyper-elastic Polymer allows for pressure-relieving sinkage at all pressure points, while keeping the rest of it firm and supportive.

You Can Smell/off Gassing
Customers are often concerned about the possibility of mattresses emitting toxic fumes or releasing a foul odor.
These gases, also known as volatile organic compound or VOCs have been linked to a variety of health problems, including cancer.
The Purple Mattress emits a faint, new-foam smell like any mattress. The gases that are emitted by the Purple Mattress are not toxic.
Most people won’t notice it. It was a slight odor that lasted only a few hours. There has not been any long-term residual odor.
If you are sensitive to smells, leave the mattress unattended in an open area for 24 hours.

My preference is for soft mattresses, while my husband prefers firmer mattresses.
