Review: What’s In This Gravity Cooling Blanket?
The Gravity cooling blanket takes just five minutes to read.
The Gravity cooling blanket uses the same cotton material that the original Gravity blanket. It is soft and breathable.
Glass beads in the blanket add weight. They are non-toxic, and won’t make any noise when you move in the bed.
The blanket’s weight is evenly distributed by the small, stitched grids that keep the beads from shifting.
The cover is what makes the Gravity Cooling blanket different from the original Gravity weighted blanket.Cooling blankets are made from a different fabric, which is more breathable, wicks away moisture better and sleeps cooler.
I tried the 9-kg version.. It’s true that the Gravity cooling blanket is cooler than other comforters and weighted blankets. I didn’t feel hot or sweaty throughout the evening.
The inner blanket is securely secured to the duvet cover so that it doesn’t fall off at night.
The cover can be removed and machine washed. Turn the heat down to low and dry the cover.
Gravity tells you to hand-wash your blanket and dry it on a flat surface.
Comfort And Weight
Gravity offers four versions of its cooling blanket.
- For sleepers over 45kg, a single size 7 kg
- Single size 9kg for sleepers who weigh over 82kg
- For sleepers who weigh over 104kg, a single size 11 kg
- For couples, Queen or King 16 kg
Singles are great for small beds or couples who only need a blanket.
Consider getting two separate sizes if you have a significant weight difference with your partner. If you’re slightly heavier than your partner, you might get the 9kg blanket, and your partner the 7kg blanket.
This blanket is distributed evenly by Gravity. The blanket is weighted to hug you comfortably without shifting or bunching.
It feels very soft on the skin and keeps you cool. However, some people may find it too hot to sleep on.
To ensure that the weight is evenly distributed, I recommend flipping it every other night. If you don’t change the sheets or blanket every few nights, the blanket can slip off your bed if it is placed on top of the top sheet.
